The final regular round in the Golf & Brew Summer Series is scheduled for this Friday, August 31. The 9 hole event, featuring four areas breweries with tastings throughout the course, is sold out.
“The Summer Golf & Brew Series has been very successful,” said Rob Ehrhart, General Manager of South Hills. “We’re happy so many people have had the chance to enjoy summer evenings out on the course while tasting some great local brews.”
The August event is the second of the inaugural summer series to be sold out. There have been Summer Golf & Brew events in June and July.
Hanover-area breweries Something Wicked, Aldus, Center Square Brewing and Miscreation have been involved in all four events.
“The event isn’t just for golfers, ” added Earhart. “We’re happy so many non-golfers have been coming out to our deck to listen to music, have a drink and enjoy the beautiful view.”
The Golf & Brew Summer Series features a live band on the patio and is open to the public. This Friday’s band will begin playing at 7:00 p.m. Food and drinks are available for purchase.
Unfortunately we have a full slate of golfers for the July Golf and Brew, but come out to hear Flat Top, a 3 piece band playing classic rock and current hits on the deck at 7:30. Grab a bite to eat with our special featuring pit beef, ham, or turkey and sample the featured brew by Aldus.

South Hills is happy to announce that Deep Six is the next band up for our Golf & Brew Series Outing on Friday, June 29.
“We are looking forward to playing on the patio,” said Ryan Myers, lead guitarist of Deep Six. “We can’t wait for our fans to come out to this fun event!”
Deep Six bills themselves as acoustic rock with an edge! All four players are original, and they’ve been at it for over 20 years.
YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE A GOLFER
If you’re not golfing, come out anyway to enjoy the band and sample our special food menu! Band will start playing at 7:30 p.m.
NEW TEE TIME
The first Golf & Brew Summer Series event in May went great! We had such a large turnout that we found that 6:00 tee time didn’t ensure all were in before dark. So, we have moved the tee time for the June 29 event to 5:30. Event includes golf 9 holes, get tastings from 4 local breweries throughout the course, and enjoy a full pour of our feature and the band on the patio. South Hills Golf Club is excited to partner with The First Tee for many reasons. This summer’s youth program for golf instruction will go to a whole new level. Not only does The First Tee provide top notch golf lessons for kids, it provides lessons in positive life values.
The First Tee has established Nine Core Values that represent some of the many inherently positive values connected with the game of golf. By participating in The First Tee, kids are introduced to these core values which are incorporated throughout the program. Parents are encouraged to reinforce these behaviors by talking about them, what they mean and what these behaviors can look like at home.
The Nine Core Values incorporated into the lessons are integrity, honesty, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy and judgment.
Playing the game of golf can improve your quality of life as there are many physical, emotional and social benefits, which is why The First Tee is so much more than just golf lessons.
Come out to our Family Fun Day to kickoff the First Tee Program on May 21 from 5:30 to 7:30. Games, info about the program and a FREE dinner provided by OSS Health. https://www.southhillsgc.com/upcomingevents/
