DEMOLITION OF OLD SOUTH HILLS BUILDING BEGINNING AT END OF MONTH, AUCTION PREVIEW SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18
South Hills Golf Club is set to demolish their current building and construct a brand-new facility that will house a restaurant and events space. South Hills has partnered with the Hospitality Management Corporation (HMC), owners of Hanover-area’s culinary staple The Altland House to manage food and beverage. All items in the clubhouse and kitchen will be up for grabs at a public auction on Thursday, October 22 at 9 a.m. sharp. A preview day is scheduled for Sunday, October 18 from 1 to 3 p.m.

South Hills Golf Club has been focused on refining a great golf experience for the residents of Hanover and the surrounding areas, including adding a new putting green near the driving range. The launch of the new facility is the culmination of a lot of planning and effort to provide a place everyone will enjoy whether you golf or not.
“We are so excited about the project,” enthused Kathryn Hoar, owner of South Hills Golf Club. “We’ve worked diligently to design a facility that capitalizes on our location and scenery and complements the golf course. Working with the HMC has been a very collaborative process and we can’t wait to share the final result with the public. It will be the kind of place you’ll want to visit with your family whether you’re a golfer or not! Great food, beautiful views, and live music year-round!
The public auction will be conducted by PA OnSite Auction Company to clear out the building for demolition. Everything from kitchen equipment to furniture to the fireplace mantle is available. Click here more detailed info on the auction.
South Hills will be open for golf during the construction and asks that you bear with them through the duration of the project. A temporary trailer building will house the ProShop for the essentials. Portable toilets will also be available.

The new restaurant/bar will be the ninth South Central PA location operated under HMC and is slated for a Spring 2021 opening. The location will seat 125 and will feature the Hanover-area’s first Self Pour Beer Wall. Customers will enjoy the freedom to sample and refill at their leisure, spending more time socializing, less time waiting. Menu will consist of Classic Pub Fare with Chef-influenced specials.
The Wedding & Event venue will be available to host 10 to 200 people. The space will be the perfect place to hold everything from weddings to golf outings to corporate meetings and events.
“Hospitality Management is excited to have the opportunity to bring our culinary skills in both the restaurant and the catering of events to South Hanover,” said Ryan Haugh, Owner of HMC. “South Hills Golf Course has a long-standing tradition of quality golf in the area. We look forward to providing great food in a casual atmosphere and introducing Hanover to its first “Pour Your Own” beer wall.”
